My Favorite Natural Lifestyle Websites + Alternative MDs

The human body is truly amazing. Especially as a woman, we have our monthly cycles, can grow a child, and give birth. The body is extremely resilient and can make miraculous recoveries.

Now this goes with saying that we take care of ourselves. Someone who is constantly stressed, doesn’t exercise, and eats the Standard American Diet (SAD) may be the person who is always sick, tired, and on a handful of medications. Their bodies are having a very hard time functioning. However, when you think about it, it’s like trying to put diesel fuel into a gas engine. You can’t expect it to work as it is not the correct fuel. Well, white bread, chips, and soda are not the fuel our bodies need either.

I believe if we nourish and support our bodies, they can function properly and do most of the healing themselves.

As Hippocrates said, “Let thy food be thy medicine”.  My goal in life is to teach women how to get in touch with their bodies to nourish and support their mind, body, and soul. As I grew up in a natural lifestyle, I have been exposed to so many wonderful resources. If you’re just starting out in this lifestyle, here are the basic resources I find most helpful.

Mind Body Green

Want to learn about green drinks? They have articles about that. Want to learn more about Ayurvedic  medicine? Yup, they have that too. I highly recommend signing up for their newsletters.

Well + Good

I love getting their daily newsletters as they are full of inspiration, beauty, and even some hygee.

Weston A. Price Foundation

This foundation focuses on our ancestors and the basics of a healthy lifestyle like liver, butter, and raw milk.

Dr. Josh Axe

Dr. Josh Axe is a trained MD that  is more focused on holistic methods of healing. His website is like my bible. There is so much information on his site; I am still discovering new information each day. He has articles on herbs to fatty acids to essential oils.

Dr. Joseph Mercola

Dr. Mercola is one of the pioneers of natural medicine. He is a trained MD as well but is very much so geared toward natural remedies and nutritional support.  You can find information on just about anything related to the human body on his website. From COQ10 to antibiotics, he shares a wealth of knowledge on his site.
