Happy Thanksgiving! + All I’m Grateful For

Happy Thanksgiving! A day filled with too much food and lots of love. Hopefully, you are able to spend time with the people that matter the most to you and eat {too much} delicious food. However, don’t forget to give thanks and show gratitude to everyone you love.  Hence, THANKSgiving.

Most days we take for grant it what we have in life. Even those small things such as breakfast to eat and a warm bed to sleep in at night. Make today a day to show your gratitude for all the things in your life. Tell your family how much they mean to you. Put your phone down and actually talk to your grandparents and learn about their childhood. Pray  for all the wonderful food you’re about to eat.

The more gratitude you express, the more joy you’ll feel.

My blog is called Grounds and Gratitude so Thanksgiving is near and dear to my heart. Gratitude is so important in life especially on this “national day of gratitude” so to say. As you’re expressing all your thanks for what you have in life, here is what I’m grateful for this week.

My Family

I’m so thankful for my beautiful sisters {yes, they are both younger than me} and my mom.  As the saying goes, there is no better friend than a sister!

My Fiance and His Love

He’s my rock and is always there for me.  He’s my prince charming I never thought I’d find.  He’s also given me a family I absolutely adore! We just got our engagement pictures back so I thought I’d share a few. Aren’t they great?! I’m so thankful for Mallorie, our amazing photographer!

My Home

Home is not a feeling; it’s a place. Eric & I moved into this apartment back in June but it is really feeling like home. He built us a coffee table, end tables, and an entertainment center so it’s getting that farmhouse feel like I always dreamed off. Of course the great buys from Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, and Kirklands help. I love Saturday mornings when I can wake up, clean the house, and enjoy a cup of coffee. It’s the greatest feeling to have such a comfy and cozy home.

My Education

I’m grateful to have the access and funds to be able to attend school. I finally will be done with my Associate’s degree in December and starting through UW-Stevens Point in January! Yay!

The small & small but meaningful things:

♥ cup of coffee in the morning
♥ warm showers
♥ old fashioneds
♥ Hobby Lobby
♥ sleeping in
♥ candles
♥ books
♥ Ellen
♥ supplements to keep me healthy
♥ sweet potatoes
♥ avocados
♥ fuzzy socks
♥ and so much more!

How are you celebrating Thanksgiving?

What are you grateful for today?

For Thanksgiving this year, I’m so thankful to be able to spend time with family and have the ability to contact those who aren’t so close. I am also thankful to be able to watch the great Thanksgiving Parade and drink my cup of coffee. I can’t wait for a certain someone’s sweet potatoes and marshmallow dish. 😋

    Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁
