How to Beat the Stress & Enjoy Christmas

As I write this post, it is gracefully snowing outside. Can you believe it is December 4? Christmas will be here before we know it! For many, this becomes a very stressful time of year, when it should be a time of joy.

I love Christmas time and try to enjoy it as much as I can because it seems to come and go so fast. Here are a few of my tips to help you enjoy Christmas and beat the stress.


| Make lists |

  • To Do

If you can write everything down and then take it bite sizes, I can guarantee you’ll be ahead and be able to manage your time better. I use an awesome app called Santa’s Bag that can help you track Christmas gifts and how much you spend. I also set reminders for EVERYTHING!


| Set a budget |

Money can be a big stress this time of year but that’s where a budget can be great! You can either download an app to your phone. use an excel template, or the good ‘ole fashioned way with paper and pen. Don’t want to spend so much? Make your own gifts. | Say No |

Give yourself permission to say no to holiday parties, concerts, or anything else that doesn’t give you joy. If you would rather be at home sipping hot cocoa and watching Christmas movies, then totally do that!


| Give Yourself Love |

Many women are so busy buying gifts, preparing dishes, and cleaning that they forget to take care of themselves. However, in order for you to be your best and enjoy the holidays, you need to take care of yourself! Even if it is just taking a bath once a week with a glass of wine or going to get your haircut. Do something every day for yourself!
